Hello! I’m Sophie

I am the Wedding photographer for Herds Media, we are a family run business with a heritage of photography through 4 generations of wedding photographers. Herd’s Media has grown year on year since its formation in 2017 and while this is a new venture for us as a business, we have nearly 10 years of photography and Videography experience and over 80 years with of photography knowledge passed down over the 4 generations.

My focus is on making sure that you have a wonderful day to look back on whether you're eloping or going all out, I don't want you having to make a decision on more guests or a photographer when you can have both as I believe every story should be captured.
​
On the day I will capture natural shots (Maybe a cake to the face!?) as well as traditional, even the smirk before the speeches, the tears from your parents face, and the longing look of "we are finally doing it" between you both. I want you to have your special day with ALL of the people you love and the photographs of all the memories after that day.

All Pricing is for 2025 weddings, a non-refundable deposit of 20% will be taken upon booking, we accept credit cards and google/apple pay.

The Elopement package is 3 hours photography, this normally covers from your bridal/grooms prep, ceremony and your after photos as husband and wife.

Video Guestbooks
We do offer a service completely separate to our original packages.
We are offering for us to come to your wedding evening and video record your guests saying some amazing words that would normally write down, its nice reading what your guests say but its even better seeing and hearing them!

FAQs
When and how will I receive my photographs?
4-8 weeks (about 1-2 months) after the wedding on an online gallery, we also offer a bespoke wedding album with your choice of photographs, the album is an additional charge.

What time do you start and finish?
I start 2 hours before the ceremony and 30 minutes after the first dance on a full day
Do you have insurance?
Yes, venues need to see this also
What is the deposit fee?
The deposit is 20% non-refundable and that will be taken on the day of booking to confirm your date.
How do I book?
You can book via the contact form on the bottom of the page, you can also email me or give me a call
Do we get photo previews?
Of course, I will send you a few photos before I release your whole album to you.
How much notice do you need for an elopement?
1-2 days' notice is great for me, just make sure I have all the information when you get in contact
Can we meet and chat before I go ahead and book?
Definitely! It’s a great way to get to know you both and how we can work together
Do we have to sign a contract?
Yes, it protects both parties if anything was to change, this gets discussed when we have a meeting in person.

Do you charge for travel?
I only charge for travel if your venue is 20 miles outside of Carlisle and this will be at 65p per mile.
